Design with Color

I enjoy the time I spend on hikes out in nature. It's peaceful and clears the mind. In all seasons, I am aware of weather and colors in the varying natural lighting. So, when I design and decorate a space, or give a friend a gift, often times it will consist of something relating to nature or a photograph. 

In choosing a paint color for a space, I hang my paint sample cards on the wall to be painted or place them around the area and observe the color shades in varying lighting conditions over a window of time. This process will more accurately help define the color choice to use.    

There are seven Color Palettes derived from nature and the outdoors to use when putting together spaces: the Natural Palette, Air, Wind, Water, Fire, Earth, or Mineral Palettes.
